From the Joy of Moguls to the World Stage.

Born in 2009, Akihiro started skiing in fifth grade and began moguls in the winter of his first year of junior high school.

Drawn to the excitement of skiing moguls, he moved with his family from Honshu to Hokkaido to pursue the sport more seriously and joined TEAM BANKEI in his third year of junior high school.

02 / GOAL

THE NEXT GOAL.

THIS SEASON

My goal this season is to win the Junior World Championships in Sweden in early April.

FUTURE

My first major goal is to compete at the 2030 Olympic Games. Beyond that, I want to become an athlete who can win an Olympic medal.

I also want my performances to help more people discover moguls, contribute to the growth of the sport, and become the kind of athlete others respect.

03 / ATHLETE STORY

Moguls Brought Me to Hokkaido.

The fun I felt when I first skied moguls is what made me want to pursue the sport.

I originally lived in Honshu, but my family moved to Hokkaido so I could train more seriously.

There, I became interested in TEAM BANKEI, where top athletes including Takuya Shimakawa train, and I joined the team in my third year of junior high school.

Today, training alongside top athletes and teammates who push one another to improve gives me an environment where I can keep growing and aim for the world stage.

04 / MY STRENGTH

Maintaining Speed and Linking Clean Lines Through the Moguls.

PERSONALITY
I give everything my all. Competitive by nature.
FAVORITE FOOD
Salmon roe sushi (ikura)
MOTTO
Consistency pays off.

06 / MESSAGE

Be the Athlete People Want to Cheer For.

TEAM BANKEI is a place that helps me grow.

Training alongside top athletes and pushing one another with my teammates has taught me that results are not the only thing that matters. How I carry myself every day and showing gratitude to the people around me matter just as much.

I am truly grateful to my family, my teammates, and everyone who supports me. Thanks to them, I am able to give everything I have to the sport I love.

Whether I win or lose, I want to become the kind of athlete people genuinely want to support. I will keep working toward the 2030 Olympic Games without forgetting the gratitude I have for everyone around me.
