02 / BEHIND THE TEAM
Inspired by Moguls as an Athlete.
Now Sharing That Passion Beyond Competition.
Through her experience as a mogul athlete, Mikuru discovered the excitement, depth, and unique appeal of the sport.
When she entered high school, she began to feel that she wanted to stay involved in moguls in ways beyond competing herself.
That led her to take on new roles in event operations, communications, and other activities surrounding the sport.
She served as an event official at the All-Japan Championships when Takuya Shimakawa won in the 2022–23 season and when Hisako Kajiwara won in the 2025–26 season.
Experiencing those moments from behind the scenes has strengthened her desire to continue supporting the athletes and helping more people discover mogul skiing.
